Brothers John and Jeff Clayton prove conclusively that while blood may be thicker than water, it can also carry an unimpeded flow of pure creativity. Their GRAMMY–nominated quintet The Clayton Brothers, founded in 1977, creates a common musical vision drawing from each musician’s diverse experiences in jazz, r&b, classical, and pop music; Clayton Brothers albums like Expressions and Siblingity are rife with delightful surprises and reflect a singular musical telepathy. Bassist John Clayton served as Artistic Director of Jazz for the L.A. Philharmonic from 1998–2001; he’s played with and/or written and arranged music for (among others) Milt Jackson, Nancy Wilson, Regina Carter, McCoy Tyner, Carmen McRae, Quincy Jones, Diana Krall, and Dee Dee Bridgewater. Alto saxophonist/flutist Jeff Clayton studied oboe at Cal State and soon hit the road with Stevie Wonder. His similarly long and diverse résumé encompasses stage and studio work with Ella Fitzgerald, Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle, Frank Sinatra, and the Count Basie Orchestra under the leadership of Thad Jones. Pianist Gerald Clayton (son of John Clayton), trumpeter Terrell Stafford, and drummer David Alvarez complete this strong and swinging lineup – make your reservations now!  CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS
