Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival 2015

Featuring The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra

The University of Missouri-St. Louis, in association with the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center and Jazz St. Louis invite you to participate in the 2015 Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival. This year’s guest artists include the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Lou Marini, Clay Jenkins, Steve Wiest and Montez Coleman.

On Friday, March 20, combos will perform in the Century Room in UMSL’s Millennium Student Center. The clinicians will coach your group in the aspects of combo performance, performance practices, and improvisation. Big band performances will take place on Thursday, March 19, Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 in the Anheuser Busch Performance Hall of the Banche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center. This year’s big band clinicians include Clay Jenkins, Steve Wiest and more. Following your band’s performance, one of our clinicians will accompany your band to the Lee Theater for a clinic session.

On Friday evening, March 20, we are proud to present the University of Missouri-St. Louis Jazz Ensemble directed by Jim Widner, and our guest artists Lou Marini, Clay Jenkins, Steve Wiest and Montez Coleman. The evening concert on Saturday, March 21, will once again feature the UMSL Jazz Ensemble and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. Concert times will be 8:00 p.m. on both nights.
