Gerald Clayton is a spellbinding pianist who searches for honest expression in every note he plays. Gerald’s father, John Clayton, is a renowned bassist/composer/arranger/conductor/producer with a seemingly endless list of legendary collaborators. One of John Clayton’s most beloved projects is The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, an ensemble he co-leads alongside drummer Jeff Hamilton. Hamilton, who is Gerald’s Godfather, is one of the most diverse and in-demand drummers in jazz and has been featured on nearly 200 recordings. Together, The Trio honors its collective legacy through a commitment to artistic exploration, innovation, and reinvention.
