The Soraya pairs an L.A. favorite, the Grammy-nominated Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, with recent 2x Grammy winner Samara Joy, a fresh young talent from the Bronx with a velvet-smooth voice oft compared to Ella Fitzgerald, for the final concert of our 2023 Jazz at Naz festival.

Hailing from the Bronx, fresh talent Samara Joy pairs with L.A. favorite the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra — now swinging for more than 36 years! Joy, a deeply emotive vocalist, exploded onto the scene in 2019 at the age of 21—often surprising audiences with the power she packs and her “lighter than air” and “understated, swingy rhythm,” (Kevin Whitehead, NPR).
