Whether as a bassist, composer, arranger or bandleader, John Clayton is a true all-rounder. He is best known for his work with artists such as Diana Krall, Paul McCartney, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Charles Aznavour, Carmen McRae, but also with the Monty Alexander Trio and the Count Basie Big Band. In 1985, together with his brother Jeff Clayton and the American drummer Jeff Hamilton, he founded his own big band project: the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, whose music will also be the focus of the concert with the jazz combine. John Clayton is one of the most sought-after and renowned musicians on the international jazz scene. In 2008 he received a Grammy for his collaboration with Queen Latifah in the category “Best Jazz Arrangement” and has been nominated ten times for a Grammy throughout his career. tickets
