This year, we are excited to present our 40th Anniversary Celebration & Jazz Tribute Concert on Saturday, September 9th, at The Montalban Theatre in Hollywood.
For 40 years the Los Angeles Jazz Society has been committed to ‘Keeping Jazz Alive’. Our annual Jazz Tribute Awards Concert celebrates jazz and the talented people who have made this extraordinary music their life’s passion – all to raise funds for important jazz education programs. Jazz in Schools reaches over 25,000 children in the LAUSD public schools each year, the Bill Green Mentorship Program gives 25+ young people the opportunity to study with working jazz musicians and perform at the Spring Concert at Catalina’s, Jeff Clayton Memorial New Note Commission (a commission award to create a new work and performance with Angel City Jazz Festival) and our Young Musicians Showcase giving new talent the opportunity to perform in our monthly series.
