The legendary Quincy Jones is known world-wide as the producer of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, the world’s best-selling album, and “We Are the World,” the best-selling single of all time. But more than a decade earlier, Quincy released a series of albums for A&M that would combine pop, soul, jazz, and rock creating a GRAMMY-winning template for nearly every recording artist that would follow.

On Friday evening, September 16, Monterey Jazz Festival is pleased to present The A&M Years, an all-star tribute to Quincy Jones, with five-time GRAMMY®-winning bassist Christian McBride acting as Musical Director. Mr. Jones will be an honored guest at the performance on the Jimmy Lyons Stage in the Arena, introduced by MJF board member Clint Eastwood. This performance is a special one-time-only Monterey Jazz Festival exclusive event!
